Say Yes...To the Lord of Peace

2 Thessalonians 3:16 is the benediction to Paul's letter to the Thessalonians. It is a simple verse that says so much. It reads, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all."

Have we ever acknowledged Jesus as the "Lord of Peace"? Not simply in words or even prayers, but in submission to His lordship in this area. We have heard it said that He is Lord of all. All meaning all, but how do we live that truth out?

The verse goes on to say, that Jesus "Himself," will give us peace. This is a personal interaction. It's not a mass dispensation, it is acquired through submission to His lordship. Meaning, the peace you are looking for comes directly from Him.

It then says that Jesus Himself will give you peace "at all times," not sometimes, or periodically, not only in difficult times, but also in the most beautiful times. At every moment, of everyday we can walk in the dispensation of peace from the Lord of Peace.

Lastly, this peace is received in "every way." In what way do you need peace today? Do you need peace in your marriage? Are you in need of financial peace or peace concerning your health? Do you need peace concerning world issues? Do you need peace about your urgent desire for peace?

The Lord of Peace, Himself, has the power and authority to give you peace at all times, in every way. Will you say yes, and submit to His lordship and give Him the access to establish peace in your life today?

Let's Pray!

Lord Jesus, Lord of Peace, I submit now to your authority and give you right to establish peace in my life right now! I surrender to your authority to establish peace in my life, at all times, in every way. I receive your peace now. I repent for my lack of faith in this area. I repent for allowing anxiety to shift my eyes from your Sovereignty. You are in control. Your love for me is eternal and I rest now in your peace. In Jesus Name.
